Description: A circular cross-section shaker which is very bulbous. It has a bulbous lower with concave upper and a thick disc base. It has four repeated large scroll patterns on the body and ring of beads around both the neck and disc base.
Decoration: None.
Colors Known: Opalware.
Size: 2-3/4" tall; 2-3/8" max. dia.; 1-1/2" dia. base.

Special Comments: This shaker is a cousin (formerly called Variant) of a shaker shown in Lechner II, pg. 118-3. That shaker has only two large scroll, not four. This left room for decoration on the two other sides In fact, there is a transfer type decoration on that shaker which shows two birds on a branch. This shaker has no room for such a decoration. Interestingly, this shaker was also made with no scrolling (see #826 Beaded Top and Bottom, No Scrolls).
