A member found this Rare color for the Chrysanthemum Base shaker. Normally found in
opalescent colors of cranberry and canary (or vaseline), speckled finish colors of
vaseline and canary (or vaseline). Also, more rarely found in opalescent blue. Northwood
Glass Company, circa 1890's.
This find is a clear blue without the opalescent stripes. This pattern is only reported
in the literature in opalescent colors of "granite ware" (a speckled finish). This shaker
must be considered as a Very Rare Find.
The pattern was named by Peterson. The Lechners list it under Buckeye Glass.
