Description: Shaker has six well defined panels which concave upward from near the base, but convex downward to the bottom. Embossed at base with leaf at each panel junction. Also, have embossed leaves on each panel just below the neck.
Decoration: HP floral decoration with large purple flower and several green and brown leaves on a stained background.
Colors Known: Stained opalware.
Size: 3" tall; 2-3/8" max. width; 1-1/8" bottom dia.
Date: Ca. 1900-08.

Special Comments: In Lechner II, pg. 69-2 there is a blue version of this shaker with a different floral decoration. It was named Hexagon, Leaf Base and assigned slightly different dates of manufacture. Also in Lechner II, pg. 216-3 shows shaker picture above as Heagon Leaf. Of the many shakers shown in Forstoria's 1901 catalog, none have this distinctive shape.
